Landlord and Tenant

Landlord and Tenant law is its own separate subject but mostly arises in Civil Litigation and Residential and Commercial Property Transfers.

However, particular mention is made of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and the Housing Act 1985 which give business and residential tenants respectively considerable security of tenure and other statutory rights in spite of what the lease might say.

We can advise you as a business or residential tenant how to resist an aggressive Landlord and, in most cases, how as a business tenant you can demand a new lease on reasonable terms.

If you are a Landlord, we can advise you if and how to obtain possession of business or residential premises. For business premises, please contact us. With regard to residential premises, if you complete the necessary questionnaire form we will telephone you.
